Yesterday went to Imm with Ronghui, df, sean and Weiqing. At first we're supposed to go to the rooftop carpark to view the lights off of nearbys. But when we reached IMM, gosh! The whole place is so well-lighted! Seems like not much of the people knew about Earth Hour... But still, some shops in IMM had actually switch off their lights! We went to macdonalds and the place is dark. Ronghui had his dinner there. The whole place is like a place where lots of people gathered to have candle light dinner together. Lols. Well, maybe next time should go to Orchard road to observe Earth Hour. I think it'll be way cool if the whole Singapore plunged into total darkness!

Earth Hour 2009!

Earth Hour!! We have to do something, before it's too late. Go for a greener Earth! Just by switching off your lights for an hour, you are actually saving the earth by reducing the electricity needed to be produced for this whole city, which means lesser carbon dioxide emission! Do a part in saving the earth!

Orientation camp '09 Pictures!

Hey all! I managed to get some photos from ScreamingEagles Forum. As you guys know that recently we had our Orientation camp at Pulau Ubin, Some of this pictures are taken. There's still more at the forum but too bad, 'you guys can't view them. I can't copy all. I'll share some though!

Pulau Ubin camp!

Woohoo! Back at last! yeah i know it's like few days ago already.. But still, I'll post about what happen during the camp! ^^

Day 1
went to school around 7+ in the morning. We Had all the logistic took out from the den and distrubuted equally to each patrols. lols my patrol is _______.. Only me and Clarence were there. And in front of us we had lots and lots and LOTS of can food and tent.. Then both of us had no choice but to squeeze as much as we can first. My bag is big and i only fill it up not more then half of the bag. And you know what? Another half of my bag were stuffed with can food. Then after all the squeezing, whoa. Try carrying my bag and you'll have no idea how heavy it was. I have to bend my whole body down so that i could walk. Later on chengyong and ivan came. Ropes and some more can food were all stuffed into their bags. After this, we headed for the jetty.
Cub scouts then later on were separated into our patrols. We've got 5 cubs. When we reached Pulau Ubin, we hiked to mamam beach. That's where our campsite is. Along the hike, wah! "Swarms" of mosquito came sticking to your legs and arms. It's like a frenzy feast to them. lol... reached the campsite and pitched our tent. Had some activities after that. At around 7+ pm we had our dinner. Our own pit were set up and burned thick woods. Here comes the part where i Almost die. I brought the Cub scouts to wash their utensils. Along the way, one of the cub scouts's utensils fell down a "mini rocky clif" that leads to the sea. He wanted to go retrieve it, but i stopped him cause it's dangerous. It's so dark that you can't see anything. Then i went down to help him pick up his utensils. Little did i know that it's slippery and so i slipped. I slide down the rocky edges and down to the most bottom. Half of my body fell into the water. Lucky I grabbed onto the rocks before i fully fell into the water. Then Clarence pulled me up. I had cuts on my elbow and some other places on my leg. I was bleeding... All thanks to the first aid kit that i brought, managed to stop the bleeding. They sure heal fast!

Day 2
Woke up around 7+am. Gosh the morning scenery is beautiful! Took some pictures with my handphone but too bad, i can't transfer them to my computer. Soon after we woke, we headed on with Physical Training. We ran up the slope and down and up. Did a little up sit-ups and pumpings. After that is breakfast. After breakfast the cub scouts went to Chek Jawa while the sec ones went for their orientation lesson. They learnt how to find bearings and blahblah. More then what geography textbooks have to offer ^^. So the seniors had nothing to do. I slept under the sun while waiting for them. It was real sunny and i was perspiring. I took my sleeping bag and used it to cover my eyes. lol... When I woke up, Geezes! I had no idea why but i just suddenly fell sick! I was dizzy, everything around me is swirlling. Then I puke. All the breakfast in my stomach came out. I somehow managed to walk back to the tents and slept again. When i woke up this time, lunch is already well prepared by clarence and ivan. So i took some bites. Then followed the sec ones for their Orientation test. For each patrol, one sec 2 had to follow their sec ones for this test. As i was the only Sec 2 in my patrol, I had to follow the Sec ones even though I just got better. Night falls and we had our campfire. I really enjoyed myself during this campfire. We sang and danced. Then the skits are very funny! My patrol's skit is how the school song was founded. I acted the principle. Then the school song was actually from a beggar that sings to earn money. Very funny :D The other patrols did well too! Especially Woodpecker patrol. They did the Sleeping beauty skit. Even though it's one that everyone knows, but they managed to act it out in a funny manner. Then after the campfire, lights out! Intead of sleeping like the other patrols, i went for sentry duty. All we did is just sit there and stare blankly. The stars are nice there. You can actually see then glowing brightly. This is rare in Singapore, a City that is poluted with lights.

Day 3
Same thing. Had PT and breakfast. After Breakfast, Break camp! But still, we had to stay until 4pm then we can proceed back to Singapore. So meanwhile, we took down the tents and kept all our logistic. The excess can food, we threw them away into the bins. Great! My bag is much lighter the before! Chengyong helped us to keep the logistic and went home earlier due to some reasons. So now It's just me, One senior for Kingfisher. I became the acting Patrol Leader for kingfisher. So I lead them through the games yeah, had all the stuffs needed to be done. The time finally came for us to leave our campsite. Just as we were about to start hiking back to the jetty, rain came pouring down! All of us had no choice but to hike under the rain. Back to Singapore and met up with df at Jurong Point. Went to had long John Silver! 's been 3 days since i had nice food. Yum!

Pulau Ubin is simply marvelous, especially the scenary and the night sky. It's just those mosquito that aren't so nice. Lol ^^

Malacca trip!

Woohoo! Tomorrow's the day! I'll be going to Malacca for the fieldtrip thing. Can't sleep.. lols ^^ Anyways, yesterday went for ushering for the culturer night. Yay! It's my first time wearing the councillor blazer! hahas ^^
Met up with Jasmine, amanda, huachong, hisyam and some more at Jurong east MRT station. Then we all took train to Woodlands. When we reach there, Jasmine allowed us to buy some food, so I followed huachong, kinhun to breadtalk. I bought a cheese stick bread. When we're all done, we took a bus to somewhere which i've forgotten already.. lols. Actually my job is simple. Opening the door, guarding the door with weiyang. We were both standing there, waiting for VIPs cause we've to close the doors immediately they went in. So after that the show starts. I sat down on the chair and watch the show. But soon i doze off... hahas guess I'm too tired! Somehow i managed to wake myself up when the jumpstyle comes. The jumpstyle was totally awsome! I like jumpstyle! Woohooo!!!!! It was already 9pm++ when the show ends. It indeed was a long night -- for me. I fell sick at this time. What a right time to be sick. I suddenly got high fever. I went to the reception table and lied my head down on the table while the rest went to have some food. Then there's this teacher, she's fierce! She saw me and ask me if I'm alright. I said I'm fine, just a little bit of tired. She then said my eyes are red. Then df told her that i have fever. Geezes. Ms Tham came to know about this and she wanted to give me a ride home. I rejected. Then this teacher says i must go, Ms Tham will send me home. Lol... I've no choice but to hop on her car.
After a sleep, felt much better now in the morning. But still, I'm still having mild fever. Hope this won't affect me during the Malacca trip! May God Bless Me.

Culturer night!

Yeah this coming saturday is the night of culturer night! I'm going to watch for free and you know why? lols... I'm involved in the Ushering for the culturer night! I'll be wearing some weird weird clothes? Not exactly but actually I'm going to wear upper sec pants and it sure looks weird! Yays!!! It's going to be my first time wearing the red coat thing that the councillors always wore! Ah! you'll get to see me on that night!
Well today nothing much happened actually. During science lesson after school, Mrs Ng shared lots of "stories" with us and blah blah. Then i wasn't listening so i had no idea what she is talking about, but still there's some part that Happened to caught my ears. Then after her talk, we went on with the the lesson. Midway, she suddenly came and said that I'm the fire. My pencil case is the testtube with solutions inside. She is trying to explain why we cannot put the test tube directly above the fire. Then she asked the class what would happen if the test tube was place above the fire directly, as you know the class would say ________... lols. This is not the part yet. While explaining, things from my pencil case dropped out and landed on my hand.. lol. Hah.. I think science lesson is not bad after all..

I hope The malacca trip would be fun!

Buzy life!

Geezes! Next week is March Holidays already! But still, just when i thought i could get a break from the school, None! A holiday just doesn't seems quite like a holiday for me! I'm all packed for the whole of next week, either I'm not at home or I'll only be home at night time, usually very late. *sigh..*
I guess all i need is just a good sleep under a tree, on the beach! These days i keep having slight headached.. Geez..

Monday I'll be going to Malacca till tuesday. Wednesday I'll be going back to school for lessons. Thursday I'll be going to Pulau Ubin for scouts camp, until saturday! Guess I'll have to break this time 'round!

SEC 1 CAMP '09!

Whoooohoooooo! Finally back from the sec 1 orientation camp! Whoa.. The camp was superb! Absolutely awesome! Throughout those countless camp that I've attended, I can say that this is one of the best camp attended! ^^ Even though the camp is over now, I can still remember what happened during the camp and those fun moments! Also, this is my first time being a Facilitator in a camp! *Good Job!* Though this camp only lasted 'bout 2 days, it indeed was memorable for me! I took 1-D, then further broken into groups. My group was Uzbekistani Som. And I would have to thanks Abdulla, Caroline, Syazana for working along with me as facilitators for 1-D!

The first day!
Falled out for scouts for camp brief and later came back to orientation at around 3pm. Then as soon as i came back, I was told to check boy's bag, for gadgets and so on.. Saw something i should not have seen? lols... Then ran around the school for the games. It's Chaotic! The whole sec 1 were like scrambling ants! running here and there.. Seriously speaking, even i don't feel quite like playing in the games, so is my group! so we just take our time walk here and there, till the time ends.. hahas ^^ They were better then i had expected! They were very enthusiastic when it comes to cheering! I was so happy! Night adventure was fun! As we were walking around the school, i kept on talking about those *things* that might appear behind you.. then the girls would scream... hahas ^^. I took them to walk through the very vrey dark alley behind sec 3s class at level 1. They got excited! heheh =]
So it's fun for both me and the sec ones! yea!
Geezes, got caught by jasmine red handed! i was hugging steifan while waiting for my sec ones to go toilet. then after the sec ones turned in for the night, we had a debrief by the teachers.. I was dozing off by then.
During sleeping time, i first went to girls bunk & slept on their desk, while the rest were playing. Then after that i went back to our boys bunk and slept on the desk too! Well, in the midnight i almost fell off the tables and decided to sleep in my sleeping bag!

Day 2!
Had Physical trainning in the morning, running and jumping around... I tied my yellow cloth on my head like a bandana! then the photographer commented that i looked like those of who work in Long John Silver! HAHAHAs ^^
Then had cheering competition! Gavin helped our class alot! We cheered on the stage then came down running around shout "oleh oleh!" lols =D
Phew! We won the first in class ranking! *three cheers!*

Whoa..
I guess we wouldn't have won if not for Abdulla, Caroline, Syazana. Together, we cheered and had fun with the whole class! Am i really glad that we have make a good team, together as facilitators!
